San-Fran Trip Day 3
55Day 3: M5 Again
So on my last day I had really nothing I could do since I had to be at the airport by 10am for check-in. I was still on Cincy time so I didn’t sleep much, Since there was zero room service and nothing on the TV (outside of infomercials) I gathered my things and checked out of the hotel and started off to M5 to try my luck yet again.
I was there pretty early and kinda felt like I was on a steak-out. When I got there I saw 1 car already there and though “man I got here too late again! They’re already inside working!” but I continued to wait and drink my morning Diet Coke. During which I got to see/hear 100 Mexicans get “Lead Certified” (not leed) by simply signing a clipboard and a 15 min meeting. (I don’t think I’d trust that roofing company!)
A lot of traffic came and went where M5 is located & just about the time I figured I had to go I hit pay dirt. Adam Savage drove up.
With my heart pounding with excitement I walked up & introduced myself. He was extremely friendly & more than talkative. We talked briefly about where I was from, why I was there, (he asked if I came all the way from Cincy to just say hi.) & his new venture in creating a production company with Jamie. Then he signed my copy of Skepticality with him on the cover, posed for a picture, we shook hands & parted ways. Him going into a day of myth-busting & me heading to the airport smiling so big I could have ate a banana sideways!
